Earls Court is home to an eclectic mix of traditional Victorian pubs, restaurants and bars. Popular chain restaurants include Zizzi, Wagamama, Byron Burgers and Nando’s or for that special occasion, try Monsieur K.
Those in the know head to ‘secret’ basement bar Evans & Peel Detective Agency, which has a great selection of cocktails. Then, of course, there’s the famous Troubadour, an old-fashioned coffee house dating back to 1954 that’s famous for its live music and poetry sessions. Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and, more recently, Adele and Ed Sheeran have performed there.
Earls Court has its fair share of local independent shops as well as supermarkets such as Tesco Superstore on West Cromwell Road and a Sainsbury’s Local on Earls Court Road. High Street Kensington, with its mix of upmarket high street shops, bars and restaurants is just a 15-minute walk away.
If you’re after green space, Holland Park is just a 10-minute stroll. West Brompton Cemetery is a few minutes walk and provides an interesting wilderness to wander through the resting place of many famous Victorians.
