Earlsfield

IMG 5848

Most of the action in Earlsfield centres around Garratt Lane.

The Earlsfield pub, formerly the train station ticket office, is a popular weekend retreat, as is Mel’s Cafe, offering all-day breakfasts and tasty burgers. Independent coffee shops include Bean & Hop, which specialises in good coffee and craft beers, and Belle Amie, with its tempting array of cakes.

For good pub food, head to The Halfway House or The Jolly Gardeners, owned by MasterChef winner Dhruv Baker. Carluccio’s and Roxie Steakhouse are also nearby, as is Café Amaranth, offering authentic Thai and Indochinese cuisine. If it’s your turn to cook, Sainsbury’s Local is handily located at the end of Magdalen Road for all your essential grocery needs.

The Southside shopping centre in Wandsworth (a short bus ride or walk away) is home to Waitrose and various high street stores, not to mention a cinema and Virgin Active Gym. There is also a Nuffield Health Gym on Burr Road.

Earlsfield isn’t short of green spaces, with Garratt Park and King George’s Park on your doorstep, and Wandsworth Common a short walk away.
