Workspaces with Outdoor Benefits

Taking a break from work to enjoy the outdoors is key, which is why many of our workspaces benefit from courtyards and gardens.

At Marstons we strive to create tranquil places in the open air for all our commercial offices however small the space is, so that anyone working in the building can sit away from their screens even if it is just for a few minutes.

We know that far too many of us sit behind a desk tapping away at a keyboard all day - we know it's not very good for us but we struggle to choose an alternative.

At Foundry Mews in Barnes, it's hard to find an excuse not to take a break due to the picturesque surroundings. Our courtyard and mews planting won a gold medal in the commercial category of Richmond in Bloom 2018. It has been thoughtfully planted to provide a green space all year round and somewhere peaceful to sit in view of the office. The Mews is also just a few minutes walk from Barnes pond and the river - so you're really spoiled for choice when it comes to soaking up the outdoors.

At Tideway Yard and The Old Powerstation in SW14 we have our own stretch of riverbank and can enjoy the very wonderful views of the sweep of the Thames, down river towards Barnes Bridge and up river to Chiswick and Duke's Meadow . The seating and footpaths are bounded by dogwoods and the natural muddy river bank.

Nestled in Stephendale Yard SW6, is a sunny courtyard with informal planting providing not just a place to sit and ponder but also a space to socialise.

27 Ackmar Road close to Parsons Green has a secluded courtyard accessed from the atrium used by the occupiers for social gatherings or just somewhere to read the paper.
